Claim your VA benefits with an accredited representative.

Azimuth simplifies the VA disability claims process by connecting U.S. military veterans with VA-accredited representatives through a secure technology platform. The platform manages intake, evidence, C&P exams, tracking, and appeals, from initial submission to final decision.

VA Accredited

Built on Trust, Transparency, and Accredited Legal Expertise.

Azimuth operates strictly within the federal VA representation framework. Every representative in our network is accredited by the VA Office of General Counsel. Veterans never pay for representation, and you remain in control of who can access your information.

  • Accredited Only

    Verified Against VA's OGC Registry

Every representative is verified at signup and re-verified over time.

  • Nationwide

    Accreditation Works in Every State

A VA-accredited representative can represent you no matter where you live.

  • Free for Veterans

No Fees From Us, at Any Stage

We are paid by accredited representatives and organizations, never by veterans.

  • You Decide

You Control Access to Your Records

You choose your representative and can revoke access at any time.

The hard part is rarely whether you qualify.

Most veterans don't lose benefits because they aren't eligible. They lose them to a process that never explains itself.

The Problem

Forms and evidence requests arrive without a clear map of what matters or what comes next.

How Azimuth helps

A guided intake turns your service, conditions, and records into one organized case file.

Intake record organized

The same claim, run on a platform instead of paperwork.

See how modern digital infrastructure and accredited human expertise eliminate friction at every stage of your claim.

Traditional VA claim process

  • Paper-heavy filing

Printing, scanning, mailing, and hoping it arrived at the regional office.

  • Finding help on your own

Cold calls, forum threads, and no quick way to verify VA accreditation credentials.

  • No claim visibility

Status updates require calling a 1–800 line and waiting through 45-minute queues.

  • Manual document handling

Records requested one provider at a time with frequent lost file notices.

  • Five channels, no record

Email, phone, fax, mail, with nothing tied together in a single case file.

Using Azimuth

  • Guided digital intake

Plain-language questions that build the filing for you and lock in your Intent to File date.

  • Smart representative matching

Matched on condition type, appeal stage, state jurisdiction, and language.

  • Real-time claim tracking

Every stage, assigned owner, and upcoming action visible in your personal dashboard.

  • Secure document management

Encrypted uploads and secure document storage, requests tracked to completion.

  • One connected platform

Messages, evidence, and decisions consolidated in a single secure case record.

Built for Veterans.
Backed by HGM Fund.

Azimuth is developed and backed by HGM Fund, a private investment firm with a long-term commitment to the company. This backing allows Azimuth to stay focused on what matters most: helping veterans access the benefits and representation they deserve, at no cost to them. Our model is built around serving veterans first, with their interests at the center of everything we do.

  • Secure by design

Architecture designed against NIST 800–53 and HIPAA control requirements, with SOC 2 Type II certification underway.

  • Accredited representatives only

Every representative is verified against the VA Office of General Counsel registry — and re-verified over time.

  • Built with veterans and representatives

Designed alongside accredited representatives and the veterans they serve, not for them.

Our Profits. Our Commitment to Veterans.

Azimuth was built with a commitment to serve those who have served. Through the Azimuth Foundation, we dedicate 8% of our annual profits to supporting veterans, service members, their families, and the organizations that serve them.

This is not an aspirational goal. It is a firm commitment built into how Azimuth operates.

01 / 05

How the 8% Commitment Works

Each year, Azimuth commits 8% of its applicable pre-tax profits to the Azimuth Foundation.

The calculation is based on our ongoing operating profitability and is made before the Foundation allocation itself is deducted. Prior-year losses are taken into account, and extraordinary or one-time gains — including proceeds from a sale of the company or similar exit transaction — are excluded.

We estimate and set aside the Foundation’s allocation throughout the year, with a final calculation following completion of our annual financial statements.

Once funds are committed to the Azimuth Foundation, they remain dedicated to its mission.

02 / 05

How the Funds Are Managed

The Azimuth Foundation is a charitable initiative of Azimuth LLC, rather than a separate legal entity or private foundation.

Funds committed to the initiative are maintained in a separate Azimuth-owned account dedicated to charitable giving.

An Independent Grants Advisor is appointed to identify needs, evaluate opportunities, and direct distributions consistent with the Foundation’s mission.

The Advisor operates with independence in making good-faith grant decisions. Azimuth retains appropriate oversight to ensure that funds are used lawfully, responsibly, and consistently with the Foundation’s mission.

03 / 05

Who We Support

The Azimuth Foundation can provide support both directly to veterans and military families in need and to organizations and programs that serve the veteran and military community.

Our focus may include areas such as healthcare and rehabilitation; mental health and wellness; housing and essential needs; education and training; employment and economic opportunity; assistance for military families and caregivers; and other needs that can meaningfully improve the lives of those who have served.

04 / 05

An Independent Approach to Giving

We believe meaningful philanthropy requires more than simply setting aside money.

Our Independent Grants Advisor is empowered to identify where Foundation resources can have meaningful impact and to direct grants consistent with the Foundation’s mission.

Azimuth does not intend to interfere with good-faith grant decisions made within that mandate. At the same time, Azimuth maintains appropriate safeguards to ensure that Foundation resources are used legally, responsibly, and for their intended charitable purpose.

05 / 05

A Commitment That Endures

Our 8% commitment is designed to endure alongside the business.

If financial circumstances ever require Azimuth to temporarily defer funding a portion of an amount due, the commitment does not disappear. The deferred amount remains committed to the Azimuth Foundation and is funded when the Company’s financial circumstances permit.

Next: Fund management

The Azimuth Foundation reflects a simple principle at the heart of our company:

As Azimuth succeeds, the veteran community shares in that success.

Partner with the people already doing this work.

VSOs, law firms, nonprofits, foundations and private companies. No cost to explore.

  • VSOs & accredited organizations

    • Veterans matched to your representatives
    • A compliance-first workspace for your service officers
  • Law firms & accredited practitioners

    • Case flow matched to your practice areas and capacity
    • Case tooling built for accredited practice
  • Nonprofits & foundations

    • Referrals both ways — veterans need more than claims help
    • Support for organizations and programs that serve the veteran and military community
  • Private companies

    • Giving that is structural, not seasonal
    • Co-branded initiatives built around veteran outcomes

Support for the Foundation is welcome, and never expected.

Welcome, never required, and it buys no preference in matching.

A first conversation commits you to nothing.

Questions, answered.

Clear information about accreditation, the claims process, fees, and how Azimuth works.

  • Azimuth is an independent technology platform that connects veterans with VA-accredited representatives. It organizes intake, representative matching, evidence, secure communication, claim tracking, and appeals support into one connected case record. Azimuth is developed and operated by HGM Fund and is not the Department of Veterans Affairs, a law firm, a healthcare provider, or a government agency.

  • Azimuth is a secure technology platform connecting veterans with VA-accredited representatives. You complete a simple 5-minute digital intake that locks in your Intent to File date. Our matching engine pairs you with an accredited representative who manages your evidence, paperwork, C&P exam prep, and appeals through our unified portal.

  • No. Azimuth is an independent technology platform developed by HGM Fund. We are not the Department of Veterans Affairs, not a law firm, and not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by VA. We build the software. The representation itself is provided by independent VA-accredited attorneys, claims agents, and Veterans Service Organization representatives, who are accountable to VA's Office of General Counsel — not to us. Azimuth does not prepare, present, or prosecute claims, and does not give legal or medical advice.

  • VA recognizes only one power of attorney at a time, so appointing a new representative replaces your current one. If you already have a representative you are happy with, you do not need to change anything — and if you are unsure, talk to your current representative first. Azimuth will not change your representation without you signing a new appointment form yourself.

  • The Azimuth Foundation is a charitable initiative of Azimuth LLC, rather than a separate legal entity or private foundation. Each year, Azimuth commits 8% of its applicable pre-tax profits to the Azimuth Foundation. Funds committed to the initiative are maintained in a separate Azimuth-owned account dedicated to charitable giving. An Independent Grants Advisor is appointed to identify needs, evaluate opportunities, and direct distributions consistent with the Foundation’s mission. The Azimuth Foundation can provide support both directly to veterans and military families in need and to organizations and programs that serve the veteran and military community.

  • An attorney, claims agent, or VSO officer formally recognized by VA under 38 CFR §14.629, and authorized to prepare, present, and prosecute claims on a veteran's behalf.

  • Because you can check, independently of us. VA's Office of General Counsel publishes a public accreditation search at va.gov/ogc/apps/accreditation. Every representative on Azimuth is verified there before their account is activated, and re-verified on an ongoing basis — accreditation can be suspended or cancelled, and a representative who was accredited last year may not be today. Anyone who does not appear in that registry cannot lawfully hold your power of attorney or prosecute your claim.

  • It depends on who represents you. Accredited attorneys and claims agents are appointed as individuals, so you work with that specific person. Veterans Service Organizations are appointed as an organization, so any of their accredited representatives can act on your claim — that is how VA's rules work, and it means your case does not stall if one person leaves. Either way, Azimuth logs every access to your file individually, so ‘who has seen my records’ always has a precise answer.

  • Most veterans are matched with an accredited representative in less than 24 hours. Once matched, your representative reaches out via Azimuth secure messaging or phone to initiate your Power of Attorney (VA Form 21-22) and review your claim file.

  • Yes! Azimuth features a live 8-stage VA claim status dashboard that updates whenever your file progresses: from Initial Review to Evidence Gathering, Preparation for Decision, and Notification. You get total transparency without calling hotlines.

  • Nothing. Azimuth is free for veterans, permanently — there is no upfront fee, no fee later, and no fee taken out of your benefits. We are paid by the accredited representatives and organizations who use our platform, not by veterans. Your representative's fees are governed separately by federal law, and the rules differ by representative type. VSO representatives may never charge you a fee, at any stage of a claim or appeal. Accredited attorneys and claims agents may not charge anything for an initial claim; a fee only becomes permissible after VA issues its initial decision and you pursue a decision review or appeal. When a fee does apply, it is capped and disclosed in writing before you agree to anything — fees of 20% or less of past-due benefits are presumed reasonable, and VA's Office of General Counsel can review and reduce any fee. Azimuth receives no portion of any representative fee.

  • If the VA denies your claim or assigns a rating lower than warranted by your medical evidence, your representative immediately reviews your rating letter and initiates the appropriate AMA Decision Review lane: Higher-Level Review (HLR), Supplemental Claim, or Board Appeal.

  • Create an account and record your VA accreditation. We verify it against the VA Office of General Counsel registry before your account is activated, and re-check it over time. Attorneys, claims agents, and VSO representatives are all eligible. Your organization can also work as a team, with shared caseload visibility for administrators.

  • No. Azimuth never files anything to VA on its own. You remain the accredited representative of record, you make every judgment call, and you file — either through your own workflow or, where supported, from the platform under the power of attorney the veteran signed. Azimuth organizes evidence, tracks deadlines, and handles the paperwork around your work. It does not do your work.

  • Administrators see the firm-wide caseload and can reassign cases, which is logged. Individual members see only the cases assigned to them. A veteran's uploaded records are never opened up to administrators by default — records-sharing consent names the assigned representative personally, or their organization if the veteran chooses that.
